While I enjoyed McComiskey’s Introduction, and the essays by Haake and Lauer, I’m going to admit that Barton’s essay was tough to get through. Perhaps it’s because I’ve never taken a course in Linguistics, so some of the “lingo” or “language” just wasn’t translating for me.
